2pm - 3pm

Fotheringay Centre, Fotheringay Road,

Glasgow, G41 4NN

We're teaming up with East Glasgow Music School to bring  you a very special afternoon concert featuring players from our band and theirs!

This concert is free but ticketed, however any donations would be hugely welcomed.

All money raised will go directly to EGMS (reg. charity SC027391).

East Glasgow Music School exists to ensure access to musical instruments and lessons for all children and young people in the East End of Glasgow, and beyond, no matter their background or socio-economic status.

They cannot do this without ongoing financial support and whilst there are often funding opportunities available, many won't support operational running costs or see the arts and music as more of a hobby rather than something that can impact lives.

At GCCB we believe that coming together to play music is an incredibly powerful way of improving mental health, reducing loneliness and isolation, growing confidence and self-esteem as well as making friends and having fun.

Having access to this at a young age is even more incredible still as it can help improve communication and listening skills, learn to problem solve, work together with others, create discipline and perseverance (learning an instrument is hard!) all skills that go far beyond the classroom.

And so we are so excited to have the chance to play with the young people from EGMS and really hope you can join us and help support them in their continued ambitions of access to music for all
